Award-Winning Entry Garden in Larkspur
This award-winning entry garden is a testament to that philosophy, showcasing how a challenging slope can be transformed into a cohesive and inviting extension of the home. Our clients wanted to make their front yard in Larkspur both more usable and aesthetically pleasing, creating a space for both relaxation and entertaining.

The Design & Features
To bring this vision to life, our landscape design and build team focused on a design that would maximize the functionality of the space while creating a strong sense of place. We utilized a combination of tiered structures and thoughtful plantings to turn a simple slope into a multi-level garden. Key features of this project in Larkspur include:
- Multi-Level Deck and Patio: We designed and built a custom-built deck that seamlessly connects to the front of the house. From there, a series of integrated steps lead down to a spacious paved patio, creating distinct zones for dining and lounging while allowing for easy navigation of the grade.
- Privacy Fencing & Gate: To enhance the sense of a private retreat, we installed a new privacy fence that wraps around the perimeter of the garden. The design includes a striking custom entry gate, which provides a welcoming entrance and beautifully frames the mature trees already on the property.
- Thoughtful Plantings: The garden beds are filled with a mix of carefully selected plants that provide year-round interest and color. The greenery helps to soften the hardscape, creating a more lush and inviting atmosphere that complements the surrounding landscape and provides a beautiful backdrop for the patio area.
The Outcome
The result is a functional, beautiful, and deeply personal outdoor space that has become the heart of our client’s home. This award-winning entry garden in Larkspur is a testament to our ability to turn a challenging front yard into a versatile and private outdoor room, proving that a well-designed entry can be both an elegant welcome and a comfortable destination.
