Our clients wanted a dedicated space for growing their own food, but they also desired a garden that was aesthetically pleasing and easy to maintain. We were tasked with designing and building a functional, organized, and beautiful garden that would inspire a love for both horticulture and healthy living.
The Design & Features
To bring this vision to life, our landscape design and build team focused on a design that would maximize productivity and visual appeal. We utilized a classic, structured layout to create defined growing spaces while filling them with a rich mix of colors and textures. Key features of this project in Kenwood include:
- Custom Raised Beds: The centerpiece of the garden is a series of custom-built raised beds. Constructed from durable materials, these beds not only provide excellent drainage and soil control but also make gardening more accessible and organized. Their clean lines give the garden a tidy, professional look.
- Productive & Ornamental Planting: We carefully selected a blend of vegetables, herbs, and flowers to fill the beds. This design choice ensures the garden is both highly productive and visually stunning, with vibrant colors and diverse plant life attracting beneficial pollinators like bees and butterflies.
- Trellis & Pergola: A large, sturdy trellis was installed to support climbing plants like beans and flowering vines, adding vertical interest and maximizing the growing space. In the background, a beautiful pergola provides a central focal point and an ideal spot to relax, enjoy the garden’s beauty, and find shade on a sunny day.
The Outcome
The result is a functional, beautiful, and deeply personal garden that has become a source of joy for the homeowners.
